A Man Who Was Superman is a pleasant and warm moving human drama film that begins as a human documentary producer Song Su-jeong (Jun Ji-hyun), who dreams of a hit with viewership ratings, covers the man who claims to be Superman(Hwang Jeong-min) who believes in Superman and lives to help his neighbors.
Men have a unique mental world as if they popped out of their imagination. People are busy pointing fingers and laughing at the man who seems out of his mind.
Modification is no exception. Shee dreams of succeeding as a broadcaster by making a jackpot program using Superman, and is full of thoughts of using a man to eat.
However, Sujeong is a very realistic character. Like Ziga Bertov’s ‘The Man with the Camera’, it is another eye that looks at the film on behalf of the audience.
As the film gradually shifts its focus away from the story of ‘Superman’ to ‘The Man’, the story takes a sharp turn. While tracing the man’s past and identity, everyone is assimilated by Superman’s warmth, not his travels.
It is not known whether the man had superman powers as he claimed to be. However, it is clear that he exerted superhuman powers like Superman who saved mankind.
The realization that only small good deeds can change the world and change the future is conveyed by emotion through a great resonance.
