The 47-year-old Won Sang-tae (Yoon Je-moon), the late manager of a cosmetics company, is a ‘daughter fool’ only his daughter knows.
Won Do-yeon (Jung So-min), a 17-year-old high school girl, does not want to make eye contact with her father, who is blunt and shouts about studying when she opens her mouth. My only interests are the audition for the band club and the seniors I like.
The movie ‘Daddy You, Daughter Me’ is a comical depiction of what happens when the bodies of a father and a daughter, who do not understand each other, suddenly change one day.
The film does not stop at simply portraying the reversed identities between a man and a woman.
The father, who went back to school, feels the troubles of his adolescent daughter, and reflects on himself, saying, ‘There is nothing easier than studying’.
The daughter, who has experienced a jungle-like work life for the first time, sheds tears as she thinks of the weight of the word responsibility and her father who must have lived under the weight.
‘Daddy You, Daughter Me’ overcomes a rather boring setting with life-related episodes and actors’ acting. In addition, while drawing the changed appearance of father and daughter in a line that is not burdensome, the point of laughter is properly pointed out.
