Jin-ok (Go Doo-shim), a female divers in their 70s who entered the Guinness Book of Records for ‘Holding Your Breath in the Sea’ in this new work, and Kyung-hoon (Ji Hyun-woo), a documentary producer in their 30s, who came down from Seoul to cover him. It is the story with Jeju as the background, we had a conversation with the director who beautifully captured the process of healing each other’s wounds with love.
Despite the age of 70, actor Ko Doo-shim continues to make meaningful strides through vigorous activities and constant challenges. Through ‘Nightline’, as a daughter of Jeju, she plans to share sincere stories such as her extraordinary affection for the movie ‘Everglow’, which depicts the story of Jeju and the haenyeo, and her efforts to vividly portray the life and love of the haenyeo Jin-ok.
Ji Hyeon-woo takes on the role of Han Kyung-hoon, a producer who came down from Seoul to Jeju Island to cover the Jeju haenyeo Jin-ok. In order to succeed in a project that depends on the life and death of the company, winning Jin-ok’s heart is an urgent priority. However, from the first meeting, Jin-ok’s reaction is only cold, and after that, they start to circle around Jin-ok and start getting closer.
