Gangnam Blues is a work depicting the desire, loyalty, and betrayal of two men, Jong-dae (Lee Min-ho) and Yong-Ki (Kim Rae-Won), surrounding the land of Gangnam, where development began in Seoul in the 1970s.
Lee Min-ho and Kim Rae-won had to endure various battles as their characters grew from being scavengers to core members of each organization.
Kim Rae-won said, “It was mentally painful in the violent scene,” and Lee Min-ho also said, “In terms of the content, it is not a mentally bright and pleasant state on the set, but when we moved to the middle of filming, I was very exhausted.” However, Lee Min-ho said, “I think that everyone has violence. It seems to be the difference between rationally controlling it.” He said, “I had an unfamiliar experience of bringing out the violence within me.”
