Constantly questioning the identity of the cloned human being, painstakingly reflecting on ‘what is human being’, and depressingly accusing the future society of why it is bound to be a dystopia, while mobilizing enormous capital of the time, cutting-edge graphic technology, and manual work of craftsmen. Persevering enthusiasm for making superb screens is a common self-portrait of these problematic science fiction films.
