Summary

The Age of Shadows depicts a breathtaking battle, conciliation, and disturbance operation between the Japanese police chasing after a group of police officers who are trying to bring bombs from Shanghai to Gyeongseong in the late 1920s to destroy major Japanese imperial facilities. Song Kang-ho, Gong Yoo, Um Tae-goo, Han Ji-min, etc. appeared.

Kim Woo-jin (Gong Yoo), the new leader of the Uiyeol gang, who are engaged in an armed struggle against the Japanese, and Lee Jeong-chul (Song Kang-ho), a Japanese police officer who has been given a mission to become an ally of the Uiyeol gang and extract key information.

At 8:10 p.m. on January 12, 1923, a bomb exploded in the middle of Jongno. The incident took place at the Jongno Police Station, infamous for its oppression of independence fighters. Embarrassed, the Japanese authorities did not know who the culprit was, and only two days after the accident allowed media coverage. There were not enough eyewitnesses and evidence of the incident, and Gyeongseong was like a piece of ice because of the Japanese police who searched for passers-by from time to time.
