The King of Pigs is a tracking thriller that tells the story of people who have ‘memories of violence’ from a message from a friend left at the scene of a serial murder 20 years ago.
‘The King of Pigs’, based on a feature-length animation directed by Yeon Sang-ho, previously confirmed the casting of three actors: Kim Dong-wook (Hwang Kyung-min), Kim Seong-gyu (Jung Jong-seok), and Chae Jung-an (Kang Jin-ah).
First of all, in the teaser poster, there is a figure of a geeky pig mask wearing a hoodie and sending a fishy smile towards someone. The wrinkled eyes and nose of the pig’s mask glowing against a dark background are eerily bizarre. In addition, the blurry message behind the pig’s mask is sharply pierced with blood that can be seen clearly in the dark, creating a creepy feeling.
On the other hand, in another teaser poster, there is a picture of Kim Dong-wook sitting alone in a dark and cold space. The shadow of a pig seen through Kim Dong-wook, who turned his back on the light, feels like it is connected to the pig mask he saw before, triggering unusual curiosity. Also, the phrase ‘This is the story I wanted to tell from now on’ raises speculation that it may be an extension of the bloody comment that I confirmed earlier.
