Warriors Of The Dawn was the 1592 Imjin War. In order to avoid the Japanese, the King Seonjo ‘destroyed’ (the king abandoned the city and fled). He then distributes the position of kingship to Crown Prince Gwanghae (Yeo Jin-Goo). Gwanghae heads to a distant river to gather medics. The opposing forces are in charge of escorting Gwanghae. The opposing army is a life at the bottom that doesn’t change even if the country goes bankrupt. To-Woo (Lee Jung-jae), the leader of the Daejeon Army, dreams of escaping from a lowly life with a ball.
During the Imjin War, Joseon gave up Hanyang without being able to use its power once. At that time, the number of troops recorded in the military record of Joseon was 100,000. However, the actual number of trained soldiers was only around 10,000. The rest were civilians and slaves. They were neither trained nor armed.
