In the movie ‘Will You Be There’, the present-day Su-hyeon (Kim Yun-seok) in 2015 saves a girl’s life during medical volunteer work and receives 10 mysterious pills from the girl’s grandfather in return. Su-hyeon, who swallows a pill out of curiosity, falls asleep for a moment and when he opens his eyes again, he faces himself from 30 years ago.
In 1985, Su-hyeon (Byun Yo-han), who had a happy life with his long-time lover Yeon-a (Chae Seo-jin), accidentally helps a man who fell on the road. The man claims that he is Soo-hyeon 30 years from now, and Su-hyeon of the past, who was embarrassed, sees the evidence he presents and gradually falls into confusion.
Su-hyeon now says he wanted to see the Yeon-A he loved once, and Su-hyeon in the past feels uncertain about the unknown and learns about an unbelievable future… .
The movie ‘Will You Be There’ is based on the novel of the same name by French author Guillaume Musso, who caused a syndrome to become the number one bestseller in 30 countries around the world. Guillaume Musso, who is known for being careful when making his work into a movie, has repeatedly rejected numerous movie proposals for ‘You, Will You Be There’ from countries such as Europe, America, and Asia. Will you be there?’s production company Sufilm signed a copyright contract for the first time in the world and decided to make a movie, showing trust in Korean films.
